Post-Treatment Care

Neurotoxin (Botox, Dysport)

Thank you for choosing ROXSpa for your neurotoxin treatment! To ensure the best results and minimize potential side effects, please follow these aftercare guidelines carefully.

Immediately After Treatment

  • Mild redness, swelling, or tenderness is normal — This should subside within a few hours.
  • Stay upright for at least 4 hours — Avoid lying down or bending forward to prevent product migration.
  • Gently contract treated muscles — Lightly move the injected areas (e.g., raise eyebrows, frown) to help distribute the neurotoxin evenly.
  • Drink plenty of water — Staying hydrated supports optimal healing.

First 24 Hours

  • Do not touch, rub, or massage the treated areas — This prevents Botox or Dysport from spreading to unintended areas.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating — No intense workouts, hot yoga, saunas, or steam rooms.
  • No makeup or facial treatments — Give your skin time to heal.
  • Use a cold compress if needed — Apply gently for 10-minute intervals to reduce swelling or discomfort.

First 3-7 Days

  • Results will gradually appear within 3-5 days — Full effects develop in about 10-14 days.
  • Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications if possible — This helps reduce the risk of bruising.
  • No facials, microneedling, or laser treatments for at least 2 weeks — Let the neurotoxin settle properly.

Maintaining Your Results

  • Schedule regular treatments every 3-4 months — This helps maintain smooth, youthful skin.
  • Use medical-grade skincare — Anti-aging products can enhance and prolong your results.
  • Always wear SPF 30+ sunscreen — Sun damage accelerates aging and affects your skin's appearance.

If you have any concerns or experience unusual side effects, please contact ROXSpa.
