Immediately After Treatment
- Expect mild redness, swelling, and pinpoint bleeding — This is normal and should subside within 24-48 hours.
- Avoid touching your face — Keep the treated area clean and avoid unnecessary contact.
- Use a gentle cleanser — Wash with lukewarm water and a sulfate-free cleanser for the first 48 hours.
- Apply a soothing/hydrating product — Your esthetician will recommend appropriate post-care products (e.g., a growth factor serum, hyaluronic acid, or healing balm).
- Stay hydrated — Drink plenty of water to support skin healing.
First 24-72 Hours
- Do not apply makeup — Allow your skin to heal naturally.
- Avoid excessive heat — No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts.
- No exfoliating or active skincare — Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, and scrubs.
- Use SPF 30+ daily — Your skin will be highly sensitive to the sun; reapply sunscreen as needed.
Days 3-7 Post-Treatment
- Mild flaking and dryness may occur — Keep your skin moisturized.
- Resume a gentle skincare routine — Introduce a mild antioxidant serum and hyaluronic acid if approved by your esthetician.
- Avoid picking or peeling — Let your skin shed naturally to prevent scarring.
After One Week+
- You can gradually resume active skincare — Reintroduce retinol and exfoliants after full healing (around 7-10 days).
- Stay consistent with SPF & hydration — This will protect your results and prevent hyperpigmentation.
- For best results, follow your treatment plan — A series of 3-5 sessions is typically recommended for optimal skin rejuvenation.
