Immediately After Treatment
- Expect mild redness, swelling, and bruising — This is normal and typically subsides within a few days.
- Apply ice packs as needed — Use a cold compress for 10-15 minutes to reduce swelling and discomfort.
- Avoid touching or massaging the treated area — This prevents irritation and allows the PRP to settle in the targeted area.
First 24 Hours
- Do not apply makeup or skincare treatments — Avoid putting anything on the treated area to allow the PRP to fully absorb.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, or sweating — Refrain from heavy workouts, hot yoga, saunas, or hot showers to reduce the risk of irritation and swelling.
- No blood-thinning medications or alcohol — This can increase bruising.
- Keep the treated area clean and dry — Do not touch or rub the injection sites, and avoid any friction or pressure on the treated area.
Days 2-7: Healing Phase
- Mild swelling and bruising may persist — This is normal and will gradually subside.
- Continue to avoid direct sun exposure — Protect the treated area with SPF 30+ if you need to be outdoors.
- Stay hydrated and nourish your body — Drinking plenty of water supports healing.
- Avoid cosmetic treatments or facials — Allow your skin to recover fully before scheduling any additional treatments.
After 1 Week & Beyond
- You may resume normal activities — Gentle skincare routines can be reintroduced, but avoid any intense treatments until your skin has healed.
- Results will gradually appear — Full results from PRP injections typically take 3-6 weeks to become fully visible.
- Maintain healthy habits — A balanced diet, hydration, and regular skincare will help maintain and enhance your results.
