Immediately After Treatment
- Leave the peel on for at least 4 hours — Do not wash your face immediately. Your esthetician will provide specific instructions.
- Skin may appear slightly red or yellow — This is normal and will fade as the peel absorbs.
- Avoid touching your face — Keep the treated area clean and avoid unnecessary contact.
First 24 Hours
- Do not wash your face — Wait at least 4-6 hours before cleansing with a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser.
- No makeup or heavy skincare products — Let your skin breathe and absorb the benefits of the peel.
- Use the post-peel towelettes — Follow the provided schedule to enhance peeling and results.
- Keep your skin hydrated — Use the included post-peel moisturizer as directed.
Days 2-7: The Peeling Phase
- Expect mild to moderate peeling — Usually starts around day 2 or 3 and lasts up to a week.
- Keep moisturizing — Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer to manage dryness.
- Do not pick, rub, or peel the skin — Let it shed naturally to prevent irritation or scarring.
- Avoid active skincare ingredients — No retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, or exfoliants until peeling is complete.
Sun Protection is Essential
- Wear SPF 30+ daily — Your skin will be highly sensitive to the sun. Reapply every 2 hours when exposed to sunlight.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure — Wear a hat and seek shade to prevent hyperpigmentation.
After Peeling is Complete (Day 7+)
- Resume a gentle skincare routine — Gradually reintroduce your regular products, starting with hydrating serums and antioxidants.
- Maintain results with medical-grade skincare — Your esthetician can recommend post-peel products to enhance and prolong your glow.
- Schedule follow-up treatments — VI Peels can be repeated every 4-6 weeks for continued improvement.
