How does laser treatment remove spider and varicose veins?
The vascular laser sends light pulses lasting only thousandths of a second into the vein, where the energy is absorbed almost entirely by the red cells rather than spreading into surrounding tissue. The vein is heated, forms a clot, closes, and is gradually reabsorbed by the body. A chilled handpiece protects the skin throughout, and the treatment is non-surgical, injection-free and requires no downtime.
Vein treatment of spider and varicose veins tend to be one of the most requested aesthetic procedures. Varicose veins are often found on the thighs, backs of calves, and the inside of the legs, and look like twisted and bulged cords, that are raised above the skin. Spider veins, however, are smaller and tend to appear closer to the surface of the skin. With their short, jagged lines, they resemble spider webs, and can be found on the legs and face.

How does laser vein treatment work?

What type of veins will it treat?
Since the laser uses an adjustable beam, it can treat many different sized veins, although it is used most often for smaller veins. The laser can be used anywhere on the body, except around the eyes, and treatment can almost always be performed without anesthesia. Small leg veins respond with minimal discomfort. With larger leg veins, which absorb more energy, the sensation is similar to the snap of a rubber band.
